Student of the Week
"April hath put a spirit of youth in everything." — William Shakespeare

Student of the Week

Congratulations to Landrie Etheridge, an 8th grade student at Canton Junior High, for being recognized as this week’s Student of the Week. Landrie is the daughter of Bobby Etheridge, Eric Opitz, and Crissy Opitz. She has attended Canton ISD since kindergarten.

Landrie’s favorite subject is Reading, and she stays very involved in school through basketball, volleyball, and track. Outside of school, she is active in FFA, where she loves showing pigs. In the future, Landrie hopes to become a veterinarian.

Something interesting about Landrie is that her stepdad owns Summit Dairy here in Canton.

According to Mrs. McLeod:
“Landrie is an outstanding student who consistently represents CJH with pride. She is polite, hardworking, and a strong leader on campus who always puts forth her best effort. In addition to excelling in the classroom—especially in her favorite subject, reading—Landrie stays actively involved in basketball, volleyball, and track. Outside of school, she enjoys being part of FFA, where she loves showing pigs, and she has her sights set on becoming a veterinarian one day. Landrie is truly a great example of what it means to be a CJH student. We are so proud of you, Landrie. Keep up the amazing work and continue striving for excellence!”
